Sugaring is a method of getting rid of hairs using a thick sugar mass, with the addition of lemon juice or essential oils to soften the skin, giving a lasting effect. The procedure of sugaring consists in applying sugar paste on the prepared skin against hair growth, and then by abruptly removing it by movement along the hair growth. Hair follicles are not removed during the procedure, and therefore after 3-6 weeks, the epilation will have to be repeated. When waxing, the optimal length of unwanted hair is more than 5 mm, because the wax captures only a part of the hair located on the surface of the skin. Sugar paste penetrates deeper, at the mouth of the hair follicles, and therefore removes shorter hairs 2-4 mm long.
