Laser Hair Removal in New York

Laser hair removal affects only those hairs that are in the active, growing phase (anagen) and are visible on the skin. Those hairs that are in inactive phases (catagen, telogen) must go into an active state and germinate; then the laser can act on them. Thus, the physiology of hair growth itself dictates a certain regime of procedures. Growth cells of the hair bulb are sensitive to laser hair removal only in the growth stage, and at this stage, usually 30-50% of all the hair in this area of the body.
